Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02)

• Questions: 65 (50 scored, 15 unscored)
• Time: 90 minutes
• Passing Score: 700/1000
• Format: Multiple choice, multiple answer

Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03)

• Questions: 65
• Time: 130 minutes
• Passing Score: 720/1000
• Cost: $150 USD

Solutions Architect Professional (SAP-C02)

• Questions: 75
• Time: 180 minutes

Time Management

Cloud Practitioner: 90 min / 65 questions = 1.4 min/question
Solutions Architect: 130 min / 65 questions = 2 min/question
Professional: 180 min / 75 questions = 2.4 min/question

Strategy:
- Mark difficult questions, move on
- Review marked questions at end
- Don't spend more than 3 min on any question

Question Types

1. Multiple Choice: Select 1 correct answer
2. Multiple Response: Select 2+ correct answers
3. Scenario-Based: Apply knowledge to real situations
4. Exam Labs: Hands-on tasks (Professional level)

Common Exam Patterns

• Cost optimization: Spot > Reserved > On-Demand
• High availability: Multi-AZ for HA, Multi-Region for DR
• Security: Least privilege, encryption at rest/transit
• Serverless: Lambda + API Gateway + DynamoDB
• Decoupling: SQS, SNS, EventBridge
• Caching: CloudFront (CDN), ElastiCache (database), DAX (DynamoDB)

Elimination Strategy

1. Eliminate obviously wrong answers
2. Look for AWS-specific terminology
3. Choose "most correct" answer
4. Watch for qualifiers (best, most, least, first)
5. Consider cost when multiple answers are correct

Day of Exam

Logistics

• Online: Pearson VUE from home/office
• Testing Center: Pearson VUE locations
• ID: Government-issued photo ID
• Check-in: 15-30 minutes before scheduled time

• Stable internet connection
• Webcam and microphone
• Quiet, private room
• Clear desk

What to Expect

1. Check-in and identity verification (10-15 min)
2. Exam introduction (5 min)
3. Exam itself (90-180 min)
4. Survey after exam
5. Results displayed immediately

After the Exam

• Pass: Certification badge sent to email
• Fail: Wait 14 days, then retake
• Maximum attempts: Unlimited (with waiting period)
